Happy New Year 2012!
Whole Food Cleanse-Day 1
Evan and I decided to kick off the new year with a whole food cleanse. We are ditching booze and processed foods for 14 days. This will be a challenge as we both like our carbs and I enjoy a glass of wine while Evan has his cold beer in the evening. And we both love cheese-on everything! But who doesn’t, right?
Not only will this cleanse help to detox our bodies, this will also be a great way to hopefully fit back in my skinny jeans. Like many, we gained a few pounds during the holidays. I knew I had but was in denial until I saw a few unflattering pictures of myself from this last trip to the Big Island with a muffin top coming out of my jeans. Lovely. Not good-especially if you go to the beach as much as I do.
If you would like to join us in this challenge, I’ll provide a day-to-day diary of what we ate and an easy and yummy recipe to help you through the cravings for processed foods. This cleanse it simple to follow-just stop eating anything out of a package or box and get back to the basics of natural whole foods.
Let’s track our progress together.
Wishing you all happy and healthy new year and always!
